Leet Speak Translator is a static, browser-based tool. This page describes exactly what happens — and what does not happen — when you use it.
Your text never leaves your browser
All conversion between English and leet speak runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The text you type or paste is processed on your device and is never sent to any server. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and type into the translator. No requests are made as you type.
No cookies, no local storage of your content
- The site does not set cookies.
- Your input text is not saved to localStorage, IndexedDB, or any other browser storage. Reloading the page clears it.
- Custom edits you make to the character mapping live only for the current browser session and are discarded when you close the tab.
No analytics or third-party tracking
This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising scripts, session recording, fingerprinting, or any third-party tracking service. There are no external scripts loaded for measurement purposes.
Server logs
The hosting provider (a static-hosting platform) may record standard, minimal request logs required to serve the website — such as IP address, timestamp, and requested URL — for the purpose of security and abuse prevention. These logs do not contain the text you translate, because your text is never transmitted. We do not control or have access to provider logs beyond what the hosting platform's own policy describes.
Children
The tool is general-purpose and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the site ever begins to use analytics, advertising, or any network-based processing, this page will be updated before that change takes effect, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
